Spawning

  • 12 Polished Highrocks

  • 9 Rusty Iron Grates

  • 4 Stone Bricks

  • 4 Indented Gold Blocks

Arranged in this configuration:

Upon creation, all blocks, except the polished highrocks, will be destroyed, and the resulting squall golem is spawned where the block of jade was located.

The golem is loyal towards the player who right clicked on the central Block of Jade with an Animation Core.

Drops

Behavior

A summoned squall golem will follow their summoner if its 10 blocks away from them unless put into Standing By mode.

Squall golems can walk up a full block height without jumping and walk over a 1 block wide hole without falling in. Squall golems are immune to both drowning and fall damage. When in water, they sink, but can still move freely.

A summoned squall golem will never retaliate against their summoner, or other servants of said summoner, if attacked by them. Summoned golems will attack players or mobs that their summoner attacks, or those that injure their summoner unless the target has the same summoner or is on the same team.

Squall golems can be healed by right-clicking on them with a Jade or a Block of Jade with the latter healing more hearts.

Inactive

When first spawned through mold or command, a Squall Golem will be inactive, unable to move or attack.

In this state, the golem is immune to attacks unless it bypasses invulnerability, such as falling into the void.

The golem's owner can right-click on it with an empty hand to orientate where they're facing towards the player. The owner can also still heal the golem.

Activating

When powered by a Resonance Crystal, the Squall Golem will go through an animation before becoming fully active. They are immune to non-void damage and cannot move or attack during the animation.

Attacking

If the golem spots a target, it will start walking towards them until it enters their melee range.

Once in melee range, the golem will stay in position and start it's smashing animation where, once its arms smashes the ground, will cause an area of effect attack, damaging and knocking back all non-allied entities in it.

Deactivating

When no longer powered by a Resonance Crystal, the Squall Golem will go through an animation before becoming entering its inactive mode. They are immune to non-void damage and cannot move or attack during the animation much like when it's activating.

Usage

Resonance crystals, on its own, are inactive and perform no functions.

When a Wind Blower blows wind on the block, the crystal will become active and emit an aura of cloud particles, change texture and start making sounds. The crystal emits a full redstone power when active.

Squall Golems

A resonance crystal can be used to activate multiple squall golems. The crystal must bind the golems to itself first, which requires the player to left click a squall golem with it. The block item will have an enchanted glint on it if it has golems bound to it. The crystal can bind up to 4 squall golems on itself.

When placed down and activated, the golems it's bound with will start activating and become active until the block is deactivated or destroyed.

Shift-right clicking the air while holding the resonance crystal item will unbind all golems from it.

Trivia

    • Unlike the original, the Squall Golems of Goety has aquamarine eye colors instead of purple.

  • Resonance Crystals can bind golems even if they're active and if they are not owned by the player.

    • Squall Golems will remain active if at least one bound resonance crystal is active
