Totems
The totems of the mod are items that absorbs and contains soul energy. The player can use the soul energy within the totems to use spells and other functions.
Usage
When killing a mob or player while having the totem in the hotbar, or holding it via main or off hand, it will fill up with soul energy. More mechanics of soul energy can be found here.
Cursed Cage
The totem can be inserted in a cursed cage to power up artifices and other functions. It can be inserted by right-clicking on the cage with the totem.
Revival
Totem of Souls can revive the player, but not the totem of roots. See more here.
Crafting Ingredient
The totem can be used as a repeatable crafting ingredient for several important items, provided it has enough soul energy.

The idea of totems and soul energy was based on a Minecraft theory video on illagers made by RetroGamingNow.
