A night beacon is a block that, when placed on an active nether portal, will set the world to eternal night time, if the config is enabled.
A night beacon will always drop from apostles when slain within the nether. The beacon in its item form is immune to fire and explosions.
A night beacon can be mined successfully by hand or with any tool. When destroyed by an explosion, the block always drops as an item.
When placed on top of a block, that has a nether portal block beneath it, and has an unobstructed view of the sky (Transparent blocks (glass, water, etc.) and bedrock (the nether ceiling) are allowed.), will cause the beacon to activate.
When active, the beacon will cause the world to constantly be on the day 40 and in midnight. It will also, visually, release a purple shockwave from its position when activated. The shockwave does nothing and is merely a visual effect.
The night beacon will set the chunk it's placed in to be loaded, even when not active.
If "enableNightBeacon" under goety.toml is set to false, the beacon will not activate.
Unlike regular beacons, the night beacon's beam cannot change color.
Breaking an active beacon will change the time to dawn on the next day.
The night beacon is based on Minecraft Legend's Night beacon.
The night beacons activation requirement is also based on how the latter was activated in the game.
