A redstone monstrosity is a powerful buildable neutral mob that attacks monsters by smashing the ground with both of their arms and summoning redstone cubes.

Spawning

  • Blocks that have the word 'Bricks' on their block id.

  • A Reinforced Redstone Block

Arranged in this configuration:

Then, the player has to right click on the reinforced redstone block with an Animation Core. The player must've read the Terminus Scroll in order for the monstrosity to be created.

The resulting golem is loyal towards the player who right clicked on the central reinforced redstone block with an Animation Core.

By default, only two Redstone Monstrosities can exist in the world, and a player can only have one. This can be changed through config.

Drops

Behavior

A summoned redstone monstrosity will follow their summoner if its 10 blocks away from them unless put into Wandering or Standing By mode.

In Wandering mode, within 10 blocks of their summoner, or non-owned redstone monstrosity wanders aimlessly and tries to avoid water, obstacles and environmental hazards.

Redstone monstrosity can walk up a full block height without jumping and walk over a 1 block wide hole without falling in. Redstone monstrosity are immune to both drowning and fall damage. When in water, they sink, but can still move freely.

A summoned redstone monstrosity will never retaliate against their summoner, or other servants of said summoner, if attacked by them. Summoned monstrosity will attack players or mobs that their summoner attacks, or those that injure their summoner unless the target has the same summoner or is on the same team.

Redstone monstrosity can be healed by right-clicking on them with a Block of Redstone.

Smash

The redstone monstrosity smashes both of its fists on the ground, creating a large shockwave that deals knockback and deals very heavy damage to non-allied entities in its radius. This attack is the one used most often when it’s target gets in range.

Spit

The redstone monstrosity leans back and spits out eight scatter bombs from its mouth. When a scatter bomb touches the ground, it explodes in a small radius and deals damage to non-allied entities. This attack is used mostly when their target is beyond melee range and is around 13 blocks from it. The range can be changed on goety-attributes.toml.

Summon

The redstone monstrosity touches the ground with both fists as the redstone on its body glows. Dealing minor damage and knockback. Ten fissures form around the monstrosity, so long as it's on the ground, each spawning a redstone cube that attacks nearby targets. This attack occurs every twenty seconds.
