Classification

Behavior

Natural:

Hostile Servant: Passive (player is owner or active) Neutral (owned by a different player)

Damage

4 (Default)

A dreden is an undead ghost-like mob that is exclusive to Goety 1 that can be found in cold regions in the Overworld.

Drops

  • 0–2 Cold Shards. The maximum is increased by 1 per level of Looting, for a maximum of 0-4 with Looting III.‌

Behavior

Dredens take no damage from attacks made by Strays or Stray Servants and is immune to Slowness.

Dredens attack by shooting out Frost Charges at their target if they're afar, but will change into Melee should the target be less than 10 blocks away from them.

In Melee mode, they have a chance of breathing frost particles at the target, dealing damage and healing the Dreden the amount of hearts taken from the target. Dreden's frost breath gives Slowness to target.

Dreden's melee attack ignores unenchanted armor.

Dredens are immune to fall damage and will fall slowly to the ground if they're in middle air.

If they are in Biomes that have high heat, they will recieve constant Weakness effect. Otherwise, if they're on fire, they will extinguish themselves after 2.5 seconds.

In Snowing, Dredens recieves constant Resistance and will heal 0.5 Hearts per second.

Sunlight

Dredens burn at dawn when the sun is 15 degrees or greater above the ground and when the moon can no longer be seen, similar to vanilla Zombies and Skeletons.

Mob Type

Dredens are undead mobs, causing them to be damaged by the Instant Health status effect, healed by the Instant Damage status effect, and unaffected by the status effects Regeneration and Poison. Dredens are ignored by the wither and are affected by the Smite enchantment.

Servant

Behavior

Dreden Servants share the same behavior as natural spawning Dreden except they are hostile to hostile mobs and mobs that hurt their Summoner. Unlike natural spawning Dredens, Dreden Servants do not try to hide from the sun.

Much like all summons, Dreden Servants will follow their Summoner unless they are in the middle of combat. As it is Undead, Dreden Servants heal with their Summoner's Soul Energy if Summoner wears Necro Robes and variants and can be commanded to Stay, Wander and Follow with a Wand/Staff.

Dreden Servants will naturally be hostile to hostile mobs if spawned without Summoner.

By Default, a Summoner can have up to 32 Dredens if Summoner has no other Skeleton Servants as it shares the same summon limit with them.

Trivia

  • Dreden's Frost Charges deals the same damage as the Dreden's Attack stat, meaning it will deal more damage if the Dreden has Strength or lower damage if it has Weakness.

  • Skeletons killed by Dredens will turn into Strays, or Stray Servants if Dreden is a Servant.

Dredens can be considered as a frost counterpart to the .

Dreden's current sounds are based of sounds.

Dreden seemed to have many similarities with Thaumcraft's as they both are ghost-like mobs that shoot projectiles to far away targets and will go into Melee if target is near. Unlike Eldritch Guardians, Dredens are immune to fall damage and have less health by default.
