The vizier is a flying illager hostile boss mob. They wield an iron sword and can phase through blocks. They attack by lunging at their targets with their sword and cast a variety of spells. They are the only source of Ruby of Souls which is used to craft certain items.
Viziers are summoned by using a dark scroll within a woodland mansion or, in Goety 2, any structure that has the tag "on_woodland_explorer_maps".
The Vizier always drops one ruby of souls upon death and a 2.5% of dropping their personal Music Disc. A Vizier also drops 50 experience when killed by a player or a tamed wolf. A Vizier will also drop a Treasure Pouch.
When spawned using a Dark Scroll, the vizier will spend a second looking confused, being completely invulnerable while in this state, before becoming aggressive to any nearby players or villagers.
The vizier will attack their target by lunging at them, raising their iron sword wielding arm while doing so much like Vexes. After a certain amount of time, they will cast a spell depending on what previous spell they had cast.
When casting spells, the vizier will gain natural 'vizier armor' that halves all incoming damage.
Viziers have a damage cap of 20 Health by default, meaning if they take damage exceeding that amount, the amount would be reduced to 20 damage instead.
Viziers move randomly like vexes when not aggressive and can pass through walls as well.
Whenever the vizier takes damage, they have a 50% chance of spawning an irk on their location, a 100% once they are below half of their maximum health.
The first spell the vizier will cast. The vizier will float above their target while waving their hands, summoning a single evoker fang on their target's feet every half second, a quarter second if vizier is below half of their maximum health, for 8 seconds.
If their target has been in middle air for more than a second, the vizier will instead shoot Flying Swords at them much like enviokers.
Once this spell has been cast they will cast either of the two spell depending on whether their requirements have been fulfilled.
The vizier can only cast this spell if there's 2 or more irks 64 blocks around them.
The vizier will once again float above their target while waving their hands, but after 3 seconds, every irk around the vizier will die and the vizier will heal the combined amount of every irk's current health.
Viziers can cast this spell instead of the Healing Spell either from a 50% chance from casting the latter spell or if there's less than 2 Irks around the vizier.
Unlike the previous spells, The vizier will stay in the same position for 2 seconds for either summoning a row of royal spikes at the direction of where they're looking much like evokers summoning fangs, or three swords at the target if they are airbound for more than a second.
When the vizier is equal or below half of their maximum health, the vizier will summon two vizier visages at their sides. They will only do this once.
Royal Spikes are stationary entities that deal 1 magical damage to mobs that are standing on top of it. It cannot be attacked and will disappear after 30 seconds.
Vizier visages are invulnerable copies of the vizier.
The Vizier's boss music is the Minecraft Dungeon's Evoker by Peter Hont.
The Vizier is based on the Terraria boss, The Destroyer, in terms of behavior and strategy.
The Vizier possess a similar headwear as Enchanters from Minecraft Dungeons. The headwear seems to be where the Ruby of Souls comes from.
The Vizier's turban was conceived and implemented before the mod author knew the existence of enchanters, however.
The Vizier's head used to be the mod's icon in CurseForge.
