The Tormentor is a flying hostile mob. It wields an iron axe, can phase through walls, and is only summoned as one of the Envioker's attacks. They attack by lunging at their targets with their Axe.
The Tormentor spawns as part of an Envioker's summoning attack: The Envioker is surrounded by white particles and makes a magical, horn-like sound. Then, a single Tormentor appears near the Envioker. The Envioker can summon additional Tormentors if there's not one around them.
The Tormentor never spawns naturally, although it can be spawned using spawn eggs or via commands.
The Tormentor never drops their Iron Axe because its main hand's HandDropChances is 0
6 experience is dropped when killed by a player, tamed wolf or servant.
Tormentors attack players, iron golems, adult villagers, wandering traders and any other target as commanded by their summoning Envioker (any mob that attacks the Envioker, either by accident or purposely or any mob illagers naturally attack on sight).
Tormentors move the same way as Vexes.
When not charging at their targets, the Tormentor will be invisible with only their eyes, mouth and axe being visible.
Unlike Vexes, Tormentors do count towards the boss bar during a raid.
Like Vexes, Tormentors start taking damage after 30 to 119 seconds and eventually die. Tormentors will immediately start taking damage once their summoning Envioker dies.
Despite being based of Vexes, Tormentors are considered as Illagers, meaning Johnny Vindicators do not attack them.
Tormentors are added to make the Envioker less annoying and more tougher to fight.
Tormentors are noted in the Black Book to probably being a result of experimentation between Vindicators and Vexes.
