A redstone golem is a buildable neutral mob that attacks monsters by swiping its left arm and summoning Scatter Mines around it. Redstone Golems in Goety are made by players.
Unlike iron golems, redstone golems require a mold, an animation core, and the player to have read a Warred Scroll to be created. The mold requires:
25 Blocks that have the word 'Bricks' on their block id.
Arranged in this configuration:
Then, the player has to right click on the central Block of Redstone with an Animation Core. The player must've read the Warred Scroll in order for the golem to be created.
When the golem is created, the Blocks of Diamonds will turn into Obsidian (The Blocks of Diamonds have a random chance of doing so). This can be disable through config.
The resulting golem is loyal towards the player who right clicked on the central Block of Redstone with an Animation Core.
If an owned Redstone Golem dies, it will drop their skull.
The skull will save the golem's custom name and owner. It is used to revive the fallen redstone golem when placed last on this configuration:
The revived golem remains loyal to its original owner. However, if the skull has no owner saved within it, the revived golem will end up being loyal to the player who revives it.
Their skulls are fire-resistant in item form.
Non-owned redstone golems are only spawned through spawn eggs or commands.
6 - 12 Cobblestone.
3 - 5 Redstone Dusts.
1 Redstone Golem Skull. 100% chance of dropping if owned by player, 15% if not owned.
A summoned redstone golem will follow their summoner if its 10 blocks away from them unless put into Wandering or Standing By mode.
In Wandering mode, within 10 blocks of their summoner, or non-owned redstone golem wanders aimlessly and tries to avoid water, obstacles and environmental hazards.
Redstone golems can walk up a full block height without jumping and walk over a 1 block wide hole without falling in. Redstone golems are immune to both drowning and fall damage. When in water, they sink, but can still move freely.
A summoned redstone golem will never retaliate against their summoner, or other servants of said summoner, if attacked by them. Summoned golems will attack players or mobs that their summoner attacks, or those that injure their summoner unless the target has the same summoner or is on the same team.
Redstone golems can be healed by right-clicking on them with a Redstone Dust or a Block of Redstone with the latter healing more hearts.
Redstone golems that are spawned through spawn egg or commands will target hostile mobs like iron golems, and will retaliate when damaged.
When attacking, the golem swings one of its arms across, dealing heavy damage and high knockback to all nearby mobs that's not its summoner or allied mobs.
Every 10 seconds, if their target is within melee range, instead of doing their melee attack, they will hunch over, causing the redstone on its body to glow. Scatter Mines will start appearing around the golem, so long that it remains on the ground, until 14 mines have been placed. The golem cannot move while summoning mines. This process takes 5.15 seconds to complete.
If not on Standing by mode, attacking, moving or summoning mines, the golem has a 5% every minute of performing a special animation, where the golem smashes its arms on its chest repeatedly before letting out a roar, remaining stationary while doing so.
If "redstoneGolemCrack" under goety-mobs.toml is set to true, Redstone Golems will show cracks on their body depending on how much health it has. The lower their health is, the more cracks are shown.
Scatter mines are stationary entities summoned by redstone golems.
When initially summoned, Scatter mines will pop into existence on a location near the golem, where after a second, will emit particles signifying its activation.
Once activated, if a mob that's not allied to the golem steps close to it, as indicated by the circular redstone particles, it will explode, in an explosion of redstone dust particles, dealing damage upon the mob. The damage dealt is the same as the golem's attack damage and does not knock them back like regular explosions.
Scatter mines will always try to position itself on a block, meaning summoning it in the middle air will cause it to position itself to highest block.
If the mine does not have a golem owner, it will deal 6 hearts of damage to any mob that steps near its vicinity.
Redstone Golems are based on Minecraft Dungeons' Redstone Golem mob.
The sound played, when Scatter Mines were being summoned, was obtained by using a third party software to record the the mine being summoned in the Minecraft Dungeons game session.
